The Family (Dandy) Jewels Part 4

I've written in the past here, here, and here, about the goodies I've inherited from various male members of my family. Here are a few more acquisitions.

One large silver Elgin pocket watch and one small gold Elgin pocket watch. 

The ornate detail of the covers are unreal. 

Three 4-H badges, the center one indicating "Boys And Girls Club Work" and the other two "Cornell University College Of Agriculture". I often see badges like these in the vintage photos I collect.

On the reverse on the left "1st Prize Judging Dairy Cattle Field Day 1926"; center "Awarded To (blank) By Eastern States Agricultural & Industrial Exposition Sept 20-26 1925 State College Of Agriculture And U.S. Dept. Of Agriculture Cooperating";  and blank on the right.

What looks to be a fob or charm of some sort and a Dick Tracy pocket knife (with magnifier and whistle) just for fun.

I've written here and here about some jewelry and trinkets I've inherited from various male family members. This weekend I received a few more treasures.

The Family (Dandy) Jewels Part 2

Last month I wrote about a box of jewelry I had inherited from various male family members.  My mother visited again this weekend and brought a few more treasures.

A money clip with a dolphin inlay.

Unengraved engravable cufflinks.

A "G" tie pin.

A pocket knife with mother-of-pearl (one piece missing on each side). Marked D. Peres, Solingen, Germany.

I acquired another one of these as mentioned in my previous post.  I still can't figure out what it is.  It's marked Wizard.  The part on the left swivels and is decorative.  The right side is a clip.  Any ideas?

The Family (Dandy) Jewels

My mother recently sent me a care package which included a raggedy red velvet box with an assortment of jewelry from various male family members.  I remember the box from when I was a little kid but never had a real appreciation for it.  Until now, of course.  Some things are obvious treasures like the pocket watch.  Some, I don't even know what they are.  Perhaps some of our readers might have some insight.

An Elgin pocket watch with chain.  I believe that trinket-like thing is a locket which holds two photos.

An engraved silver belt buckle.

A cufflink which I just realized was made of a coin from 1847.  Sadly, there's only one.

My grandfather's Gruen wristwatch, engraved indicating that he received it from the New York 4-H Club in 1928.  It looks like they made an error in engraving his last name and tried to fix it.  The watch is over-wound and isn't currently operable.  I need to take it to a watch repairman.
