Over the years I've accumulated quite a collection of ads featuring well dressed men (thanks ebay). To date my storage system has consisted of shoving new acquisitions into a vintage suite case with no organization. Over the last few days I've tried to group like items together and in addition to multiples of Arrow Collar and Hart Shaffner Marx ads, I've assembled quite a few ads for B. Kuppenheimer & Co.
Kuppenheimer was a Chicago based menswear wholesaler/retailer dating back to 1876. As you can see from the images below, the advertising was incredible, at times featuring the work of illustrator J. C. Leyendecker. This is what I can dandy candy!

"An Investment in Good Appearance" -- I like this motto! Judging by the generally deplorable appearance of today's men, most are mere speculators, not investors.
Ha! Great observation LBF!
Simply GREAT jackets!!! why there is so little anymore about this kind of classy style in this world! i love it! great pics!!!
Absolutely fascinating collection! LBF, can I please quote you in my post? Your statement/observation is impossible to top. You just summarized the grim situation in the men's clothes perception that starts from the way boys are dressed and grow up into the sloppy horrors.
Amazing collection! Thank you for sharing with us! LBF bravo! I don't know if it's possible to summarize the sad situation with the way men dress today any better. It all starts with the conviction that boys' clothes are plain necessity. So, the sloppy boys grow into sloppy "speculators".
