Dandy Advertising: Hamilton Shoes Part 2

Last week I posted some scans from a Hamilton Brown shoe wear catalog from 1910 and commented on how Men's shoes were so different back then by today's standards - rather feminine in some cases. Here are the remaining images.

Dandy Finds: New Orleans

We just returned from a much-needed break in New Orleans. I always find getting away an important opportunity to refresh, get re-inspired, and of course shop for dandy treasures. New Orleans didn't disappoint: a cloth bag marked Petrolofen Calorifère à Pétrole, a Pioneer Invisible Suspenders box (suspenders intact), an empty Bachelors' Friend Guaranteed Sox box, several photos, tie bars, lapel pins, a leather-covered glass flask, a 1950's beanie, and crocheted leather gloves.

Dandy Advertising: Hamilton Shoes Part I

I loved this Hamilton Brown shoe wear catalog from 1910. Men's shoes were so different back then - rather feminine in some cases. In fact, when preparing this post there were some that I had a hard time determining men's vs. women's. And I also love the random useful info included like first aid and baby names. More images to follow next week.
