Thom Browne's "runway show" at Pitti Immagine Uomo last week was less runway and more dandy performance art. Essentially Browne staged an office-like play in which the models went to "work" typing at 50's-era type writers at individual desks set in school-like rows. The models, all dressed identically, were dressed in camel coats, gray flannel suits, gray cashmere cardigans, with black leather brief cases, glasses, and slicked hair. Definitely intriguing!
