In yesterday's New York Times, David Colman writes about recession-era men's fashion in "When No One Wants to Look Like a Banker". The menswear industry has not been hit as badly as womenswear and men are reinventing their style. They are staying away from the conservative Wall Street look and instead are emulating the "creative professional". Professional guys are trying to disassociate themselves from the old boys club that got us into this mess. Essentially, the look is professional enough, but with a bit of quirkiness.
