We recently bought a bow tie with mis-matched ends. Initially we assumed it was the intentional design but then realized it was an error. It quickly became one of our favorite bow ties. The varying pattern/color in the knot adds a bit of additional depth and character. So we put together a few bow ties from the shop. We're sure there might be some purists who will call it bow tie blasphemy. What do you think?

hey, they aren't a mistake at all, just a way to get the most bang for your buck. depending on how you tie, you get a diff pattern.
The bottom one is by far the best looking (w/ the top coming in a close second). I would buy one if you made one.
If I didn't have such a chubby neck those would be enough to make me into a bow tie wearer. I especially like the burgundy/blue stripe with charcoal/blue stripe and the lavender/grey plaid with black. Huzzah.
Cool ties, Bow ties are such a lost art.
I'd love to see you join the Tuesday Trivia Tie-in Blog Party and link up your post.

I LOVE THEM!
i had a similar idea the other day. i cant get into details about it because its in development. this is refreshing in knowing that i am possibly onto something...
Will these be available for sale in the shop? They look incredible!
I rather like the 'two-tone' effect myself. It brings the primary pattering into sharper relief.
Thanks so much for your comments everyone! Although no immediate plans to sell "schizophrenic" bow ties on the shop site, contact us if you're interested and we'll try to work something out.
These are amazing. I can't believe no one thought of this before. It takes the bowtie and makes it a piece of art. The depth and contrast is simply amazing.
Hi, so nice and fashionable ties and good designs thanks
