From the Fall/Winter 1915-16 catalog. We picked it up a couple of months ago and it's a dandy treasure trove. This post features outerwear. Next up, shoes.
I'm loving this series of posts, but this in one particular made me wonder something I've been curious about before when watching some classic films: can you even still buy "slicker clothing" like that anywhere today? I don't even see rainwear very often at all, and when I do it seems drastically different from how it was then. Very little form-fitting, etc.
I've just always enjoyed things that are practical (even if only in specific situations) and stylish.
